At Sounds for the Soul, our meditations honor all paths. There is no required belief system.

Transformational Tuesdays in September: For the month of September we bring you Transformational Tuesdays with noon Mid Day Meditations, Private Mini Sessions with Big Gongs and Private Hour Long Sessions with the Instruments. Take advantage of these opportunities to bring transformation to your life! Whether you have a specific issue troubling you that you would like to address or if your intention is to raise your vibration, Sounds for the Soul is here to support you!
Transformational Tuesday Private Mini Sessions with Big Gongs
During September, we are offering special 10 minute mini private sessions where you will sit in our vibrational singing bowl or a chair or lie down between big gongs and receive the vibrations. These sessions are particularly good for releasing and balancing. 10 minute mini sessions for $20. Sign up times available: 11:35 a.m., 1:20 p.m., 1:35 p.m. Come for your mini private session before or after Mid-Day Meditation and attend Mid-Day Meditation after or before your mini private session. Transformational Tuesday Private One Hour Sound Sessions
Do you have something you’d like to work on in a private sound session? We work with you and your individual intention. You may schedule a full length 1 hour private session, and we use a variety of instruments from our extensive collection. Energy exchange: 1 hour $108. Possible times for 1 hour private sessions would be between 2 and 5 pm on Tuesdays, and other times as available. Mid-day Sounds for the Soul Meditation
Connect with your source of inner peace in this weekly meditation. Regular meditation is so beneficial for health and well-being. Join Sounds for the Soul players for an hour break from rushing and stress-filled day-to-day activities and spend your lunch break luxuriating in the peaceful Sounds for the Soul meditation energy. 12:00-1:00 p.m. Relax, refresh, renew and restore! We invite you to set aside your electronics, all your tech gear, your calendar, your thoughts, your stress…and take that journey from your head to your heart. We offer you the opportunity to invite in inner peace, relaxation, restoration, renewal, compassion, loving kindness, unconditional love and gratitude. Children and Family Meditation
Join us for a special meditation with sound designed for children to meditate with their family members. The actual meditation will last 15-20 minutes. Bring your children or grandchildren. Take this time to bond and share meditation with them. Help them learn to cope with stress in life at an early age! A short period of time will be allotted for any questions the children have about meditation or the instruments. Mindfulness Meditation
Join us at the Downtown Wellmark YMCA for a mindfulness meditation, accompanied by the Sounds for the Soul Instruments. It is open to all Y members and cancer survivors. Full Moon Gong Meditation
The full moon is an excellent time to release what is no longer serving you. The gong meditation enhances the releasing process. Members may bring a yoga mat and other items (i.e. pillow, blanket, eye cover, bottle of water) for their comfort. Many enjoy bringing a journal to jot down guidance and messages received during the meditation. You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) The sounds of the gong will remind you of your inner ability to be in bliss, as well as take you into a state of deep relaxation and peacefulness. At the time of the full moon, the energy supports us in releasing anything that no longer serves us, perhaps a behavior, a belief, thought pattern, whatever you are ready to let go of, to make room for the new that you wish to create. At this group meditation, we will combine our intentions with the frequencies of multiple gongs, crystal singing bowls and other instruments to bring about the healing process within each of us. As we do this healing work on ourselves, we help to heal our world. As we heal our world, we heal ourselves. Gong Along Class
Do you love the sound of the gongs? Do you enjoy attending our Full Moon and New Moon Gong Meditations or weekly sound meditations? Would you like to learn to play the gong? Would you like to use the gong in your own self -healing program? Would you like to learn to play as part of our sound healing tribe/community for group meditations? Join us for this experiential class. We will share techniques so you can begin playing the gong! If you already have your own gong, please bring it (and any mallets you wish to use). If you don’t own a gong, you will be able to use one of the gongs in our collection. Sounds for the Soul players Deb Jennings, Hollie McClay Johnson and Justin Appel will share their tips and techniques in gong playing with you. You will get hands on experience playing the instrument, giving and receiving a mini gong healing session, and then we will join in playing a group gong meditation. There will be opportunities to both give and receive the gong vibrations in this class. This will be a fun, empowering, consciousness expanding evening which will raise your vibration! Cacao Ceremony
Experience the beautiful properties of cacao, the plant medicine from which chocolate is made. Cacao is a superfood plant medicine. We will be working with a ceremonial grade cacao from Guatemala. Do you already love chocolate? Would you like to try ethically sourced cacao which isn’t full of sugar and caffeine? What if each time you consumed cacao, you could connect more deeply because you attended this ceremony? The deep sense of connection would be brought to your memory each time you had cacao. Creating sacred space, connecting via ceremony and using ritual can add so much to your busy life. Take an afternoon off and share in this amazing experience. We will deeply explore our hearts and souls. Cacao ceremony allows you to connect more deeply with your inner self. It is heart opening and inspires increased focus, clarity and creativity! It assists you in any transformation you are working on. You set your intentions and cacao aids in your insight and awareness in achieving your goal. You will learn about your ability to love unconditionally, about your truest, deepest self and living your purpose. You will release negative energy and blocks as you open to more love and gratitude. We will sit in sacred circle, and the cacao will be taken. As we consume the cacao, and connect with the Spirit of the cacao medicine, we will open to what it has to offer us. We will create a safe space to share, reconnecting with our deep, inner wisdom, and then after sharing, go into a sound healing meditation. We invite you to take this journey with us. The cacao will enhance these practices, taking you to deeper levels of consciousness and understanding. Cacao connects us with our hearts, and elicits feelings of joy, bliss, love and transformation. It raises your vibration! We will share how you can add cacao into your own personal spiritual practices. Then we will reconnect in our sharing of the experience and participants will have an opportunity to share their creative inspirations if they so choose. These ceremonies expand our connection in community with others who attend also. Bring a yoga mat or cushion, or use one of ours, a blanket, pillow, whatever you need to be physically comfortable, a bottle of water, a journal if you want, and an open heart! Also, if there is something creative you want to share in the last round, i.e. a poem, a painting or drawing, a song, etc. please bring it or feel free to create in the moment. You may also bring a personal sacred item to be blessed on the altar and taken home with you after the ceremony and/or an offering for the altar.

New Moon Gong Meditation
At the new moon, it is the perfect time to create what you want to manifest in your life. We set intentions on how we want things to look in our lives.
