SOUNDS FOR THE SOUL EVENTS MAY 2019
At Sounds for the Soul, our meditations honor all paths. There is no required belief system.
We honor each person’s individual spiritual path. We hold a vibration of unconditional love and gratitude for each one present.
Spirit Seekers Fair
Sounds for the Soul will have a booth at the Spirit Seekers Fair being held at Unity Center of Des Moines from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will be offering mini sound healing sessions using tuning forks. The tuning fork sessions enhance deep relaxation, balance the hemispheres of the brain, activate and align chakras and energy fields, and assist in expanding conscious evolution. Sessions will last 20 minutes and recipients will be able to choose from the following attunements:
1) Deep Chakra Clearing and Balancing for Profound Energetic Activation,
2) Journey to the Angelic Realms with the DNA Phi Ratio Attuning to the Sound of Universal Harmonic Sacred Geometry,
3) Pythagorean Perfect Fifth Forks for Tranquility and Relaxation, and Balancing the Auric Field,
4) Lemurian Attunement with Sacred Ratios and Frequencies for Healing,
5) Holy Harmony Solfeggio Session Creating a Powerful Energy Field for Health and Balance. 6) Pineal Activation to Assist in Spiritual Awakening and Activation, and Evolutionary Development.
Sessions are $25 each.

New Moon Gong Meditation
At the new moon, it is the perfect time to create what you want to manifest in your life. We set intentions on how we want things to look in our lives. The new moon gong meditation assists us to stay connected with our mind, body and spirit, utilizing the moon energy as a healing experience. The sound of the gong “re-tunes” us on many levels, bringing us into harmony and deep levels of inner peace. These sounds work on a cellular level as well as an emotional level. Participants may bring a yoga mat and other items for their comfort (i.e. blanket, pillow, eye cover, bottled water, journal). You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) Mid-day Sounds for the Soul Meditation
Connect with your source of inner peace in this weekly meditation. Regular meditation is so beneficial for health and well-being. Join Sounds for the Soul players for an hour break from rushing and stress-filled day-to-day activities and spend your lunch break luxuriating in the peaceful Sounds for the Soul meditation energy. 12:00-1:00 p.m. Relax, refresh, renew and restore! We invite you to set aside your electronics, all your tech gear, your calendar, your thoughts, your stress…and take that journey from your head to your heart. Yoga in Resonance
Sounds for the Soul by Deb Jennings and her team of dedicated players will help you immerse yourself in a slow-paced, long holds yoga practice to help you sink deeply into your body and set aside any habitual mental chatter. This special practice will be led by Drew Mathhew Maifeld of dmYOGA and accompanied by the soothing, stress melting vibrations of sacred instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, Native American flutes and more. Soulful Sounds Yoga

Meditation Around Town
This is a free community meditation that meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at a different location with a different leader each month. Cacao Ceremony
Experience the beautiful properties of cacao, the plant medicine from which chocolate is made. Limited to first 12 people to register. Cacao is a superfood plant medicine. We will be working with a ceremonial grade cacao from Guatemala. A cacao ceremony allows you to connect more deeply with your inner self. It is heart opening and inspires increased focus, clarity and creativity! It assists you in any transformation you are working on. You set your intentions and cacao aids in your insight and awareness in achieving your goal. You will learn about your ability to love unconditionally, about your truest, deepest self and living your purpose. You will release negative energy and blocks as you open to more love and gratitude. We will sit in sacred circle, and the cacao will be taken. We will create a safe space to share, reconnecting with our deep, inner wisdom, and then after sharing, go into a sound healing meditation. I invite you to take this journey with me. The cacao will enhance these practices, taking you to deeper levels of consciousness and understanding. Cacao connects us with our hearts, and elicits feelings of joy, bliss, love and transformation. It raises your vibration! It also has wonderful physical health benefits. Then we will reconnect in our sharing of the experience and participants will have an opportunity to share their creative inspirations if they so choose. These ceremonies expand our connection in community with others who attend also. Bring a yoga mat or cushion, or use one of ours, a blanket, pillow, whatever you need to be physically comfortable, a bottle of water, a journal if you want, and an open heart! Also, if there is something creative you want to share in the last round, i.e. a poem, a painting or drawing, a song, etc. please bring it or feel free to create in the moment. You may also bring a personal sacred item to be blessed on the altar and taken home with you after the ceremony and/or an offering for the altar.

Full Moon Gong Meditation
The full moon is an excellent time to release what is no longer serving you. The gong meditation enhances the releasing process. Members may bring a yoga mat and other items (i.e. pillow, blanket, eye cover, bottle of water) for their comfort. Many enjoy bringing a journal to jot down guidance and messages received during the meditation. You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) The sounds of the gong will remind you of your inner ability to be in bliss, as well as take you into a state of deep relaxation and peacefulness. At the time of the full moon, the energy supports us in releasing anything that no longer serves us, perhaps a behavior, a belief, thought pattern, whatever you are ready to let go of, to make room for the new that you wish to create. At this group meditation, we will combine our intentions with the frequencies of multiple gongs, crystal singing bowls and other instruments to bring about the healing process within each of us. As we do this healing work on ourselves, we help to heal our world. As we heal our world, we heal ourselves.
