SOUNDS FOR THE SOUL EVENTS MARCH 2019
At Sounds for the Soul, our meditations honor all paths. There is no required belief system. We honor each person’s individual spiritual path. We hold a vibration of unconditional love and gratitude for each one present.

Waterloo Psychic and Paranormal Expo
This Expo will have 60 plus vendors that are offering merchandise, doing readings, providing treatments (such as reiki, reflexology, sound healing, etc.), and much more. There is a $5 admission. Each vendor sets their own prices and there is something for everyone in every price range. There will be speakers and presentations throughout the day, with no additional fee. Seating, however is limited.
Sounds for the Soul will have a booth at this event. Deb Jennings and Hollie McClay will be offering Energy Clearing Sessions with Sound and sharing intuitive insights from the session with the recipient. Sessions are $35 for a 20 minute session. In addition to these personal sessions, merchandise for sale will include singing bowl candles with fragrances such as Sandlewood, Frankincense and Myrrh, and Naag Champa; Nepalese Singing bowls, tuning forks, Crystal Pyramids, Koshi Chimes, and Oneness Essential Oil Spray. Gift certificates for private sessions and group events will be available.
Deb will also be giving a presentation on Sunday at noon on Mindfulness Meditation with Sound. Background information on meditation and using sound to assist in the meditative journey will be given and then an experiential session will be offered.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mid-day Sounds for the Soul Meditation
Connect with your source of inner peace in this weekly meditation. Regular meditation is so beneficial for health and well-being. Join Sounds for the Soul players for an hour break from rushing and stress-filled day-to-day activities and spend your lunch break luxuriating in the peaceful Sounds for the Soul meditation energy. 12:00-1:00 p.m. Relax, refresh, renew and restore! We invite you to set aside your electronics, all your tech gear, your calendar, your thoughts, your stress…and take that journey from your head to your heart. We offer you the opportunity to invite in inner peace, relaxation, restoration, renewal, compassion, loving kindness, unconditional love and gratitude. New Moon Gong Meditation
At the new moon, it is the perfect time to create what you want to manifest in your life. We set intentions on how we want things to look in our lives. The new moon gong meditation assists us to stay connected with our mind, body and spirit, utilizing the moon energy as a healing experience. The sound of the gong “re-tunes” us on many levels, bringing us into harmony and deep levels of inner peace. These sounds work on a cellular level as well as an emotional level. Participants may bring a yoga mat and other items for their comfort (i.e. blanket, pillow, eye cover, bottled water, journal). You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) Gong Along Class
Join us for this experiential class. We will share gong-playing techniques so you can begin playing the gong!
If you already have your own gong, please bring it (and any mallets you wish to use). If you don’t own a gong, you will be able to use one of the gongs in our collection. Sounds for the Soul players Deb Jennings, Hollie McClay Johnson and Justin Appel will share their tips and techniques in gong playing with you. You will get hands on experience playing the instrument, giving and receiving a mini gong healing session, and then we will join in playing a group gong meditation.
There will be opportunities to both give and receive the gong vibrations in this class. This will be a fun, empowering, consciousness expanding evening which will raise your vibration!

At Sounds for the Soul, we periodically offer all night gong meditations. Students in this class may at some point be invited to play at longer gong meditations. We also help empower individuals to use sound healing in their own self care program at home as well as attend our group events. You will learn techniques for your own self-care as well as giving a session to your friends or family members.
This class may be taken more than once and each time will take you deeper into your connection with the gongs. If you have taken this class before, you may attend each subsequent time for $25.

Full Moon Gong Meditation
The full moon is an excellent time to release what is no longer serving you. The gong meditation enhances the releasing process. Members may bring a yoga mat and other items (i.e. pillow, blanket, eye cover, bottle of water) for their comfort. Many enjoy bringing a journal to jot down guidance and messages received during the meditation. You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) The sounds of the gong will remind you of your inner ability to be in bliss, as well as take you into a state of deep relaxation and peacefulness. At the time of the full moon, the energy supports us in releasing anything that no longer serves us, perhaps a behavior, a belief, thought pattern, whatever you are ready to let go of, to make room for the new that you wish to create. At this group meditation, we will combine our intentions with the frequencies of multiple gongs, crystal singing bowls and other instruments to bring about the healing process within each of us. As we do this healing work on ourselves, we help to heal our world. As we heal our world, we heal ourselves. Meditation Around Town
This is a free community meditation that meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at a different location with a different leader each month. Hollie McClay of Sounds for the Soul provides the sounds of the Sounds for the Soul instruments each month. This month’s meditation leader is Mary McCarthy.

All Night Long Gong Meditation
Join us for our all night long gong meditation! Take a deep journey, immersed in the sound waves of multiple gongs. Explore your consciousness and stay awake or drift off to sleep. Arrive between 9 and 930 pm to set up your space for the evening (bring a padded mat or single size air mattress, pillow, blankets, eye covers, bottled water, whatever you need to be comfortable). Please wear comfortable clothing. We will have a ceremonial grade cacao drink available for those who would like to work with the cacao plant medicine during the meditation. (additional $10 fee; please preorder with Deb.) We will start with energy clearing practices, breathwork and intention setting. Then the sound immersion will begin and go from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. At 5 a.m. we will have a period of silence, followed by sharing. At 6 am, we will offer a light, continental type breakfast, and if you’d like to bring a dish to share with the group, please do. The sound interacts with each being present in the way it is needed for that person. We create a safe environment for your unique, individual healing process. Cacao Ceremony: Calling in Light and Love (rescheduled from Feb. 23 due to weather)
Experience the beautiful properties of cacao, the plant medicine from which chocolate is made. Limited to first 12 people to register. Cacao is a superfood plant medicine. We will be working with a ceremonial grade cacao from Guatemala. A cacao ceremony allows you to connect more deeply with your inner self. It is heart opening and inspires increased focus, clarity and creativity! It assists you in any transformation you are working on. You set your intentions and cacao aids in your insight and awareness in achieving your goal. You will learn about your ability to love unconditionally, about your truest, deepest self and living your purpose. You will release negative energy and blocks as you open to more love and gratitude. We will sit in sacred circle, and the cacao will be taken. We will create a safe space to share, reconnecting with our deep, inner wisdom, and then after sharing, go into the sound healing meditation to call in light and love. Calling in more light and love helps us remember that light and love is WHO WE ARE. As we deeply connect with that remembrance, we are more able to fully express our true and authentic selves. I invite you to take this journey with me. The cacao will enhance these practices, taking you to deeper levels of consciousness and understanding. Cacao connects us with our hearts, and elicits feelings of joy, bliss, love and transformation. It raises your vibration! Then we will reconnect in our sharing of the experience and participants will have an opportunity to share their creative inspirations if they so choose. These ceremonies expand our connection in community with others who attend also. Bring a yoga mat or cushion, or use one of ours, a blanket, pillow, whatever you need to be physically comfortable, a bottle of water, a journal if you want, and an open heart! Also, if there is something creative you want to share in the last round, i.e. a poem, a painting or drawing, a song, etc. please bring it or feel free to create in the moment. You may also bring a personal sacred item to be blessed on the altar and taken home with you after the ceremony and/or an offering for the altar.
