At Sounds for the Soul, our meditations honor all paths. There is no required belief system. We honor each person’s individual spiritual path.
We hold a vibration of unconditional love and gratitude for each one present.

Private Mini Sessions with the New Grotta Sonora of Italy Instruments
Come experience the latest and newest instruments in our collection: a Grotta Sonora 26 inch gong and a 40 inch singing “sitting bowl.” These instruments were designed and created by visionary artists and musicians, Madhava Carrera and Margherita Cioffi of Grotta Sonora in Italy. You will be assisted into a sitting position in the bowl and receive the vibrations of this bowl while you sit in it and the gong will be placed in front of you to receive the pressure waves from it. 10 minute mini sessions for $20. Sign up times available: 11:20 a.m., 11:35 a.m., 1:20 p.m., 1:35 p.m. Come for your mini private session before or after Mid-Day Meditation and attend Mid-Day Meditation after or before your mini private session. If you prefer, you may schedule a full length 1 hour private session, incorporating the new instruments with the existing collection. 1 hour $108. Possible times for 1 hour private sessions would be between 3 and 5 pm on Tuesdays, and other times as available. New Moon Gong Meditation
At the new moon, it is the perfect time to create what you want to manifest in your life. We set intentions on how we want things to look in our lives. The new moon gong meditation assists us to stay connected with our mind, body and spirit, utilizing the moon energy as a healing experience. The sound of the gong “re-tunes” us on many levels, bringing us into harmony and deep levels of inner peace. These sounds work on a cellular level as well as an emotional level. Participants may bring a yoga mat and other items for their comfort (i.e. blanket, pillow, eye cover, bottled water, journal). You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) Mindfulness Meditation
Join us at the Downtown Wellmark YMCA for a mindfulness meditation, accompanied by the Sounds for the Soul Instruments. It is open to all Y members and cancer survivors. Mid-day Sounds for the Soul Meditation
Connect with your source of inner peace in this weekly meditation. Regular meditation is so beneficial for health and well-being. Join Sounds for the Soul players for an hour break from rushing and stress-filled day-to-day activities and spend your lunch break luxuriating in the peaceful Sounds for the Soul meditation energy. 12:00-1:00 p.m. Relax, refresh, renew and restore! Gong Along 2 Class
Join us for this experiential class. This class is for students who have taken the introductory level Gong Along Class from Deb Jennings or who have previous gong playing experience. We will share additional knowledge so you can advance your gong-playing techniques.
If you already have your own gong, please bring it (and any mallets you wish to use). If you don’t own a gong, you will be able to use one of the gongs in our collection. Sounds for the Soul player Deb Jennings will share from her Master Classes at International Gong Summit, and recent playshops with Mike Tamburo. Sounds for the Soul players Hollie McClay Johnson and Justin Appel will assist and share their tips and techniques in gong playing with you, and assist in demonstrating some group gong playing skills. You will get hands on experience and have a lot of fun. This will be an enjoyable, empowering, consciousness expanding evening which will raise your vibration! 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Lionsgate Portal Activation Meditation
On 8/8, the Stargate, also known as Lionsgate Portal, opening occurs. It opens every year August 8th through 12th, when the Sun is in Leo and Sirius moves closer to Earth and aligns in Orion’s Belt. This movement aligns with the Pyramids in Giza. The energy of this stellar event is about awakening to new energetic frequencies, new potentials, and an expanded, higher consciousness. We become more aware of our interconnectedness and of our abilities to tap into infinite Source knowledge and wisdom, which allows us to create our own reality through our thoughts and perceptions. Higher frequencies and dimensions are available during this time. It is the opportunity to move beyond limiting ego perceptions, and move more deeply into unconditional love. Sounds for the Soul Presents Gongtopia Meditation with Michael Bettine

Full Moon Gong Meditation
The full moon is an excellent time to release what is no longer serving you. The gong meditation enhances the releasing process. Members may bring a yoga mat and other items (i.e. pillow, blanket, eye cover, bottle of water) for their comfort. Many enjoy bringing a journal to jot down guidance and messages received during the meditation. You will be “bathed” in sound during this session. The gong sounds will help detoxify the body. (Be sure to drink plenty of pure water following the session.) The sounds of the gong will remind you of your inner ability to be in bliss, as well as take you into a state of deep relaxation and peacefulness. At the time of the full moon, the energy supports us in releasing anything that no longer serves us, perhaps a behavior, a belief, thought pattern, whatever you are ready to let go of, to make room for the new that you wish to create. At this group meditation, we will combine our intentions with the frequencies of multiple gongs, crystal singing bowls and other instruments to bring about the healing process within each of us. As we do this healing work on ourselves, we help to heal our world. As we heal our world, we heal ourselves.
